The majority of MAF properties are registered with Sheffield University and have been checked by the accommodation office before registration.
All gas appliances are serviced every 12 months by a Gas Safe registered contractor. With each inspection a gas certificate is issued at the start of the tenancy.
A periodic inspection report is carried out to ensure that the electrical
appliances in the house are in safe condition. NICEIC electrical
certificates are issued for all properties and checked regularly.
All furniture provided in the properties complies with the
furniture and Furnishings Fire Safety Regulations 1988.
All properties are fitted with mains operated smoke alarms
ensuring that they are always working. Each property has a fire
extinguisher and fire blankets.
Most properties are fitted with an alarm and some of the newer apartments
have 24hr CCTV and intercom access security systems.
We have a maintenance team at hand 24hrs a day - so no repair work is
neglected and is carried out as soon as possible, ensuring that no
inconvenience is caused to tenants.
